Signing up takes under a minute. From the homepage, fill in a username, email address, and password, then submit the form — you land straight on your feed, no waiting.
What your username can look like
Usernames are 3-20 characters: lowercase letters, numbers, and underscores only. This becomes your profile URL (inkroar.com/u/yourname) and how other writers @-recognize you, so pick something you'll want to keep.
Confirming your email
- You can browse and read immediately after signing up.
- A confirmation link is sent to your email — click it to fully verify your account.
- Some actions (publishing, commenting, following) require a confirmed email, since it's the account-recovery method if you ever lose access.
What happens on the backend
Creating an account also creates your public profile automatically, using your username as your display name until you personalize it. See Setting Up Your Profile to make it yours.
